However, this was the most expensive attraction we visited during our trip across ten states and I'm not sure I got as much value for money when compared to similar, cheaper attractions such the Motown Museum or Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Rare footage of a young Prince has been unearthed in the archive room of Minneapolis television station WCCO. I wouldn't classify myself as anything more than a casual Prince fan, but there was plenty here that I found interesting. I should point out that the security here were all extremely polite and professional. Everything is very controlled - someone even has to escort you to the toilet - presumably for security reasons, so that means you can't use your phones or cameras once inside - they have to be left in the car or put in locked pouches which are opened on exit. Our guide seemed fairly knowledgeable and gave lots of factual information without hurrying us around too much. Many of the smaller rooms have been converted into simple displays, each themed around a specific Prince album or movie, whilst the larger spaces incorporate bigger exhibits such as cars or large stage props. The tour covered the ground floor areas, including a large communal space, several former storage rooms, a kitchen/dining area, several recording studios and a huge soundstage area used for tour rehearsals.
We took the basic 75 minute tour of Paisley Park - the former home and recording studio of Prince - and thought it was an interesting and somewhat unique experience. This was a trip of a lifetime & we miss Prince now more than ever.
Some helpful info: 1) they serve alcohol during concerts, 2) our general admission ticket was just as good as the other options (not a bad seat in the house from what I could see), 3) take advantage of the shuttle they provide as it makes getting in/out so much easier & it’s included in the ticket price, 4) coat check available, 5) you’re seated for the concert. The DJ who kept us entertained until the show began was also very good. He loved her, her style, & music, so for her to perform his music on his stage in his home, couldn’t have been more fitting. Meshell & her band were awesome! I think Prince would be proud. The only thing missing was Prince himself. As for the concert, I’m still on cloud 9! It was so amazing. A lot of the other reviews talk about the logistics of things & are pretty accurate, so I will not. We did the PPE tour, next time will definitely do the VIP or Ultimate, as we will most definitely be back again. She appears to have her dream job, loves it & it shows! So glad we had her as our tour guide.
Just the way she spoke about him & his life & accomplishments, she seemed just as much in awe as us. Corri was our tour guide & she was very knowledgeable, answered all questions, & seemed to be a big Prince fan herself.

EVERYONE was kind & professional from when we entered the gate all throughout the tour and again that night for the concert. We are huge Prince fans, so this trip was on our bucket list. It was an experience we will never forget. Amazing!! My hubby & I traveled from Ohio to tour Paisley Park & attend the Musicology concert with Meshell Ndegeocello Valentine’s Day weekend.
